Anderson, Laurie and John Giorno and William S. Burroughs. Rough Trade, 1981. Audiocassette. Design by George Delmerico. Photos by Jimmy De Sana and Marcia Resnick. Giorno once described the process of licensing the venture he hoped would revolutionize poetry: 'Each clerk who stamped or put his mark on the forms said warily "What kind of a business is Giorno Poetry Systems?" As we were leaving, a little old man with glasses shook our hand and said "Good luck on the new enterprise!"' Over the decades, GPS would coordinate recordings of artists including Phillip Glass, Diamanda Galás, Allen Ginsberg, and Brion Gysin, as well as this collaborative performance featuring Giorno alongside Anderson and Burroughs.

Tape and cover are in near fine condition. Insert is price-clipped and has a 'NON RETURNABLE' sticker to the verso, but else remains in nice shape.
