Pasolini, Pier Paolo. City Lights Books, 1986. Softbound. Translated by Lawrence Ferlinghetti and Francesca Valente. Preface by Alberto Moravia. 'I'm on the stake, / I play the card of fire / and I win this little, immense goodness of mine / I write this infinite/ miserable piety of mine,' Pasolini writes in 'Fragment: To Death', a poem included in this collection, number 41 in the Lawrence Ferlinghetti–founded Pocket Poets series. Pasolini was brutally murdered by a male prostitute in 1975, most likely at the behest of either extortionists, the mafia, the Italian government, or some combination thereof.
Tight, square, uncreased spine. Clean, unmarked interior. Some light edge-wear and very subtle rubbing to the back cover, but no other notable wear. 145 pp. Featured Rare & Collectible.
