Lonidier, Lynn. The Berkeley Free Press, 1967. Saddle-stitched. The first book by the 'light show-happening' creator and Pauline Oliveros collaborator who Ron Silliman called 'perhaps the first true avant-garde lesbian poet after Gertrude Stein.' An incredible specimen of text+image design, featuring multicolored mimeograph and silkscreen mashups, wryly assonant lists in all caps (SONOROUS SAUCE / DEFECTIVE COFFEE LEVER / HOARD CORE), and drawings contributed by Betty and Shirley Wong, whose sizhu orchestra, Flowing Stream Ensemble, were key in reviving Chinese folk music in the Bay Area in the 1970s.
Saddle-stitched binding remains sound. Former owner inscription to inside front cover, but interior is else clean and unmarked. Some areas of light edge-wear. 42 pp. Featured Rare & Collectible.
