Hall, Manly P. The Philosophical Research Society, 1978. Softbound. First published in 1930, the Sage of Los Angeles's only book of poetry was written in emulation of 'the Mazdean Hymns to the Sun, the Oration of the Emperor Julian to the Mother of the Gods, the Moral Precepts of Confucius, the Chaldean Oracles, and even the mutilated versions of the so-called Christian Bible'. It was reissued here in a limited edition of 2000 and features a celestial cover incorporating photography by Brad Wallis and Robert Provin and a slender version of Herb Lubalin and Tony DiSpigna's elegant serif/sans-serif hybrid, ITC Serif Gothic.

Tight, square, uncreased spine. Clean, unmarked interior. Some light edge-wear. 59 pp. Featured Rare & Collectible.
