Thoughts on Design

$35.00 — Sold out

Rand, Paul. Studio Vista / Van Nostrand Reinhold Company, 1970. Softbound. Born in 1914, Rand grew up painting signs for his father's Brooklyn grocery store and taking night classes at Pratt while independently studying the work of European designers such as Moholy-Nagy. By his early twenties, after clocking hours generating stock images for a periodical syndicate, he had earned the accolades of that same iconic Bauhausian, who opined that Rand was 'able to analyze his problems but his fantasy is boundless.' Both analysis and fantasy are on display here in this sleek little monochrome treatise, complete with quirky softcover jacket.

In beautiful shape: Tight, square spine. Clean, unmarked interior. There is some toning to the covers. Only very gentle wear to the dust jacket. 95 pp. Featured Rare & Collectible.
