Principles of Color Design
Wong, Wucius. Von Neistrand Reinhold Company, 1987. Softbound. One in a series on design principles by Wong, this book is generously illustrated with full-color plates and features a cover depicting an incredible ouroboric color wheel. The author, a painter and prominent figure of the Hong Kong New Ink Movement, studied under influential ink artist Lui Shou-Kwan and is known for introducing gridded Bauhasian geometry to landscape paintings inspired by the Northern Song dynasty, a sensibility seen in the book's design, which he also provided.
Tight, square, uncreased spine has some sunning. Former owner name and address to the half-title, but interior is else clean and unmarked. Some lightly bumped corners and a couple very small nicks to the back cover, but else gentle shelf-wear. 101 pp. Design.
