Two from Steinerbooks
Steiner, Rudolf. Cosmic Memory. Steinerbooks, 1971. Softbound. $40.
Seiss, Joseph A. The Great Pyramid: A Miracle in Stone. Steinerbooks, 1973. $20.
Two shining examples of the work being done during the Bernie Garber–helmed era of Steinerbooks, featuring eye-catching cover art most likely by Susan Cobin Stern. Steiner's cosmogenetic chronicle features an intro by Karl E. Zimmer, who throughout his life, assembled a collection of Walfischgedichte—or Whale Poems—and who loved the megafauna so much, he requested his ashes be scattered at sea. And Seiss's foundational pyramidology text is introduced by Paul M. Allen, who writes, 'In [the Great Pyramid] are expressed not only the laws of the vast cosmos, but also proportions derived from the human body itself.'
Both books have tight square spines with light cosmetic creasing. Cosmic Memory has a blacked-out former owner name to the title page, but interior is else clean and unmarked. The Great Pyramid has a few instances of notes/underlining. Else gentle shelf-wear to both books. Featured Rare & Collectible/Anthroposophy.
