Three different printings of the influential tract written while the acid guru served time at Folsom State Prison, and published by his well-connected common-law wife. The cover with italicized type is a numbered first edition (563/1000), inscribed by Joanna Leary to influential sci-fi author and Kilgore Trout inspiration Theodore Sturgeon. The cover set in dot-matrix type is likely an unnumbered first edition; the one set in Countdown, likely a second, has a frontispiece by Dali-Ah and a Starseed Information Center stamp to the inside front cover.
All three books have sound bindings and clean, unmarked interiors. There are small areas of light soiling and sunning, as well as areas of subtle creasing to all three. The Countdown copy has some dampstaining to the back cover, causing some light buckling, but no discoloration. Featured Rare & Collectible.
