Ford, Charles Henri. Kulchur Press, 1968. Hardbound. Signed by Ford to the copyright page. Includes Kulchur Press's prospectus. Despite his characterization by Louis Kronenberger as a chronicler of 'more or less professional young homosexuals', the well-connected Ford had an affair with Djuna Barnes and typed her newly completed novel, Nightwood, in Tangiers in 1932. By 1940 he and film critic Parker Tyler had collaborated on the avant-garde magazine View (Edith Sitwell called him 'the one editor of genius we have had in our time'), and by 1962 he'd met Andy Warhol at a party hosted by his sister, actress/model Ruth Ford. This word-collage artist book is steeped in the Factory's influence, from its silver-printed boards and end-sheets to its jauntily striped edges.

Former library book with markings to the edges, pastedowns, and front matter. Interior is else clean and unmarked. Spine is tight and has a very subtle lean. Featured Rare & Collectible.
