Gearhart, Sally and Susan Rennie. Persephone Press, 1981 (4th Ed., 2nd Printing). Softbound. Design by Pat McGloin. Cover design by Maria von Brincken. Sci-fi writer Gearhart, who worked with Harvey Milk in the 1970s to defeat California Prop. 6, here teams with Rennie, coauthor of The New Woman's Survival Catalog (a feminist take on the Whole Earth catalog she helped compile during a 1972 cross-country road trip) to tackle the Rider-Waite-Smith deck in this second-wave feminist classic, engaging in what they call 'the re-appropriation of meaning within the original matrix.'
Tight, square, uncreased spine. Clean, unmarked interior. Some edge-wear and areas of subtle rubbing and soiling to the covers. 97 pp. Tarot.
