Three incredible pulp reissues by the 'Dimestore Dostoevsky'. Black Lizard Press, founded in 1984 by Wild at Heart author Barry Gifford, reprinted over 90 mid-century crime fiction titles during its existence, reviving interest in some of the grittier but more neglected writers like Thompson. 'The French seem to appreciate best Thompson's brand of terror,' writes Gifford, who introduces each title. '[He] fulfills the French notion of both noir and maudit, the accursed and self-destructive.'

All three books have tight, square, uncreased spines and clean, unmarked interiors. All three have very gentle shelf-wear. Fiction.
