A New Women's Tarot
Potts, Billie. Elf and Dragons Press, 1978 (2nd Ed.). Saddle-stitched. Cover design by River Lightwomoon. A companion pamphlet promoting an expanded version of the 1977 Witch's Tarot deck (later reprinted as the New Amazon Tarot), jam packed with prominent second-wave lesbian spirituality contributors who would later become embroiled in legal battles: Potts's guide, Witches Heal: Lesbian Herbal Self-Sufficiency, was seized in the UK's infamous Operation Tiger raids (fellow contributor Susun Weed, incidentally, claimed the book plagiarized her work) and Z. Budapest established Dianic Wicca as a recognized religion after she was arrested in California for fortune telling.
Saddle-stitched binding remains sound. Former owner blind-stamp to the title page, but interior is else clean and unmarked. Some areas of sunning and small instances of light soiling to the covers. Price to front cover has been blacked out and revised. 54 pp. Featured Rare & Collectible.
