Utopia . . . or Bust!: Products for the Perfect World
Garner, Philip (Pippa Garner). Delilah Books, 1984 (1st Ed., 1st Printing). Softbound. Design by Virginia Rubel. Photography by Tim Street-Porter. Garner was kicked out of an automotive design program in 1969 due to her infamous half-man/half-machine sculpture, Kar-mann, and its distinct territory-marking posture; nevertheless she would go on to be a longtime contributor to Car & Driver magazine. In this followup to her iconic Better Living Catalog (1982), she archives a wealth of absurdist consumer oddities, all in keeping with her preferred honorific, Misc.
Saddle-stitched binding remains sound. Clean, unmarked interior. Bumped, corners, light edge-wear, and a small area of cosmetic creasing to the front cover, but nice solid copy overall. 79 pp. Featured Rare & Collectible.
