Naked Ladies Naked Ladies Naked Ladies: Coloring Book
Barry, Lynda. The Real Comet Press, 1984 (1st Ed., 1st Printing). Saddle-Stitched. Design by Wes Anderson. In 1981, Seattle's Comet Tavern owner Cathy Hillenbrand founded a publishing offshoot that would go on to release work by Art Chantry, James Turrell, and Lucy Lippard, as well as this folio-sized dazzler by Barry. Evidence of a famous fellow Evergreen State College alum—'Matt Groening is funk lord of USA'—graces the copyright page; the two met when Groening sought out Barry after hearing she had written a semi-successful marriage proposal to Joseph Heller (yes, Heller said, but he refused to live in the dorms).
Saddle-stitched binding remains sound. Clean, unmarked interior. Some light to moderate edge-wear, but nice solid copy overall. Includes full-color foldout centerfold. Oversized.
