Atlantis: The Antediluvian World
Donnelly, Ignatius. Rudolf Steiner Publications, 1975 (3rd Printing). Softbound. Donnelly, a Baconian Shakespeare scholar, populist politician, and agrarian-utopian, reestablishes here much of the foundation for the ongoing resonance of the lost continent in the western esoteric imagination. This hard-to-find edition includes an intro by Paul M. Allen, who became an early proponent of anthroposophy after learning about the system from actor Michael Chekhov; he writes that Donnelly's 'voice was that of one speaking in the midst of darkest materialism, his idealism, courage and energy were Michaelic.'
Tight, square spine has some cosmetic creasing. Clean, unmarked interior. Some bumped corners, edge-wear, and areas of creasing and soiling to the covers. A small area of soiling to the half-title. 490 pp. Featured Rare & Collectible.
