The Spaceships of Ezekiel
Blumrich, Josef F. Bantam Books, 1974. Softbound. First published as Da tat sich der Himmel auf in Berlin in 1973 by Econ Verlag. Incredible cover illustration to this euhemerist classic, an image attributed to 'J. Martin' and based on German NASA engineer Blumrich's descriptive speculations on the extraterrestrial origins of Ezekiel's Merkabah vision. Blumrich takes the baton here from Erich von Däniken, who after serving time for fraud following an Egyptian jewelry deal, wrote the foundational text of the alien gods ideology, Chariots of the Gods?, which was edited—some say rewritten—by former Nazi propagandist Utz Uterman.
Tight, square, uncreased spine. Clean, unmarked interior. Some bumped corners and areas of light edge-wear, but no other notable wear. 179 pp. Mass-Market Paperbacks.
