Jones, whose Tom of Finland–inspired work was so provocative, it was confiscated by Canadian customs officials. Lafreniere co-organized the trailblazing queer zine convention, SPEW: The Homographic Convergence, in Chicago 1991, where Jones performed with Fifth Column, and her J.D.s collaborator Bruce LaBruce screened his first feature film, No Skin Off My Ass.
Saddle-stitched binding remains sound. Clean, unmarked interior. Some bumped corners and areas of creasing and light soiling to the covers. Includes inserted brochure from Kunstverein Toronto's 2022 G.B. Jones exhibit. Oversized.
