Three World War II–era issues of the Sage of Los Angeles's flagship magazine, financed by Ventura County oil heiresses Caroline and Estelle Lloyd and published through 1959. These early issues include essays ranging from the topical ('As Democracy Awakens') to the occult ('Great Laws That Rule the World') to amalgams of the two ('Psychic Self-Defense in Wartime'). Lovely covers to these, letterpress printed on textured stock, with a Futura-inspired title typeface distinguished by its low-barred 'H' and idiosyncratic 'R'.
Saddle-stitched bindings of all three remain sound. Clean, unmarked interiors to all three. Some gentle edge-wear, lightly bumped corners, and small areas of foxing, soiling, and/or sunning to the wraps. Featured Rare & Collectible.
