Processed World 5 & 12
Processed World 5 (Summer 1982). Saddle-stitched.
Processed World 12 (Winter 1984/85). Saddle-stitched.
Two issues of the innovatively printed zine created by disgruntled anarchist office workers during the first-wave tech boom in San Francisco. Issue 5 features a prescient exposé of the 'Third Annual Office Automation Conference' by 'Loluhema' ('The industry's real concern is not to adapt the new technology to workers' needs, but to ensure that workers adapt more easily to the oppressive conditions the technology creates'). And issue 12 includes a cheeky fundraising insert by Managing Editor Lucius Cabins, explaining the publication's need to move due to a code violation.
Saddle-stitched binding to both remains sound. Clean, unmarked interiors. No notable wear to either issue. Featured Rare & Collectible.
