Dick Gregory's Natural Diet for Folks Who Eat: Cookin' With Mother Nature
Gregory, Dick. Harper & Row, 1974 (Later Printing). Softbound. Edited by James R. McGraw With Alvenia M. Fulton. Design by Sidney Feinberg. In 1966, Gregory, who was running a write-in campaign against Richard J. Daley in the Chicago mayoral election, received what he called an 'unsolicited container of funny-looking salad' from local health food store owner Fulton. At first concerned that Daley was trying to poison him, the comedian soon realized who the sender was, and the two would go on to collaborate on this cookbook, which features a cover by 'Big Look Book' innovator Paul Bacon, known for his use of negative space and large, bold titling type.
Tight, square spine has some cosmetic creasing. Clean, unmarked interior. Some areas of very light soiling to the covers, but nice solid copy overall. 160 pp. Featured Rare & Collectible.
